Battlefield V looks to be going back to World War II. In the interview, Ryan Mcarthur, producer of Battlefield V described the game to be “immersive”, and to be able to “tell new stories of men and women who changed history” during the second World War.
Battlefield V will be released on October 19 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Shiok sia, don’t need to wait a whole year.
Gameplay & Modes
Battlefield V‘s single-player campaign will be told through an anthology of War Stories. Each story telling a different tale from World War II, much like Battlefield 1 (2016).
Co-op is also back to the series. Called Combined Arms, players play together with up to three people. They will be paratroopers who jump behind enemy lines where they face resource scarcity and high stakes. Knowing when to push ahead or to extract early is a key part of the game mode. Time to jio your friends and dive into some war time action. Chiong ah!
Weapons & Vehicles
Players will get to fly iconic airplanes as well as engage in massive tank battles. The developers mentioned drawing inspiration from the type 1 tanks of World War II. There will also be secret weapons that players can use, weapons that are strong enough to “turn the tide of battle”. This one like interesting only sia. Wonder got what kind of secret weapon we can use?
There is also a new fortification system. You can reinforce buildings that have been destroyed by moving vehicles. Or dig foxholes and set up machine guns to strengthen the defence. Now you can set up choke-points to ensure that your enemies mati all that more easily.
Battlefield V comes with customization options in for both the way gamers can look as well as play. As you continue playing a certain class, you get to unlock more perks and more weapons. You can then change your loadout according to what you feel most comfortable with.
At the same time, the customization options also extend to the outfits you wear or the way a weapon looks. Players can now look unique on the Battlefield V while in the fight. When fighting in a war, must look shuai also right? Got to have that style mah.
