The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is a first-person narrative adventure and psychological walking simulator developed by ONE-O-ONE GAMES and published by Entalto Publishing.
I have to say after playing a few hours of The Aligheri Circle, it is a visually beautiful game with really nice artwork. The first person point of view is ok and smooth to play but the puzzles are a little easy and can be a little tedious. I also found the story quite dull. Even though the start was too hasty as you have to suddenly open a portal in your grandfather’s house. I also did not like the map. It just shows you the map without any indication where you are.

There are some good aspects to the game. I loved the ambiance and voice overs. Hell’s architecture has beautiful art and the colouring is great, especially the rivers of blood. While you alternate between Hell and your grandfather’s mansion, the sounds of the mansion are creepy. There are very little jump scares and to be honest, they aren’t scary.

In hell, you have to go through trials and each trial consists of a puzzle that can present a significant challenge and demands attention. Working through the clues and finally understanding how the pieces connect can be satisfying, especially when the solution feels properly communicated. The first puzzle is relatively simple, with the biggest difficulty coming from finding every piece of art needed to figure out the solution.

All in all, The Alighieri Circle: Dante’s Bloodline is a decent story driven puzzle game with horror elements that is not scary.
