After watching the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare gameplay footage which was shown for the media at TGS2019, I was blown away. It was beautiful and very realistic looking. The new engine which does photo real rendering looks amazing and turns up the notch. I really cant wait to play it when it comes out on the 25th October this year. However if you don’t believe me, go try it out on the Open Beta which is from the 14th to 16th September on PlayStation 4 and here’s the best part. You don’t need to be a PS Plus member to try out the open beta. So give it a try!
CODMW has 3 game modes. Campaign, Multiplayer and co-op.
Its good to know that campaign is finally back and it has always been one of my fav things from Call of Duty series. The stories have always caught my attention. This time round the studios are calling it “Reimagining”. Basically the story is rebuild from the ground up and its more relevant with the modern day. We had the chance to see footage of a campaign. A strike team with night vision taking out bad guys in a multi floored house. I’m not gonna say anything about it but what I can tell you is that the campaign footage was intense af and will probably be a little controversial. It really did capture my attention and made me a tad bit uncomfortable. And that’s brilliant. Controversial or not, it is up to the individual to make up their mind. And whatever you feel, you cannot deny the fact that the game is amazing. Again, I will say it. I was blown away.
Besides the classic 6v6 maps there will also be a 2v2 maps as well. And from what I have heard, the 2v2 maps are damn fun to play. There will also be much bigger maps and there will be maps with night visions and infra red sights to use. More details will be revealed for that. But from looking at the multi player game footage, it does look good but there is a part which has got me rather skeptical. Will there be vehicles this time round? Or will it be a timed bonus for accumulating your kill spree? Guess we have to wait and see for that. There will be 2 major factions. The Allegiance and the Coalition. Each faction will have their own operators with unique looks and voice personalities. And the operators will be fully cosmetic only.
There is a new feature for choice of weapon and customization called Gunsmith. Some of the weapons will have up to 50 attachments. Gunsmith lets you customize your weapon and you can see changes on the weapon in real time.

For co-op, They are bringing back Spec Ops. Spec Ops was really fun to play in the original MW and this time you can it together with 3 of your friends.
There will be no DLC zombies this time for the game, however I really don’t think they need it. The story line looks great and the return of Price certainly builds the hype up even though it is the same character but with a different story this time. Hoipefully I do get to see cameos of other classic characters from Modern Warfare. Soap perhaps? One can only hope.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available on 25th October 2019.
